Vietnam’s procedures for issuing certificates of eligibility for sports business from March 28, 2024

On March 28, 2024, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam promulgated Decision No. 775/QD-BVHTTDL 2024 on the disclosure of amended administrative procedures in sports under the management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.

* Implementation procedures:

- An enterprise shall submit an application in person, by post, or via online methods to the Sports Authority of the provincial People's Committee where the sports business location is registered or where the enterprise is headquartered if the enterprise has many sports business locations.

- The Sports Authority of the provincial People’s Committee (hereinafter referred to as “issuing authority”) shall issue an application receipt to the enterprise.
- If the application requires amendments, the issuing authority shall notify the contents requiring amendments in person or in writing to the enterprise within 3 working days from the date of receipt of the application.

* The application shall be submitted in person, by post, or via online methods

* Composition and quantity:

- Composition:

(1) Application for the certificate of eligibility for sports business (following Form No. 02 in Appendix III enclosed with Decree No. 31/2024/ND-CP dated March 15, 2024)

(2) Copies of the certificate of enterprise registration;

(3) Summary of the preparation for business conditions (following Form No. 3 in the Appendix enclosed with Decree No. 36/2019/ND-CP dated April 29, 2019), including:

+ Sports personnel meeting the requirements for professional sports activities.

+ Professional athletes and coaches.

+ Physical facilities and equipment conforming with professional sports activities.
 
- Quantity: 1 set.

* Settlement time: 7 working days from the date of receipt of the valid application.
