Adjustment of visa issuance fees
According to the Circular, Points a, b, c and d Section 2 Part II Schedule on fees and charges for issuance of multiple-entry visa (enclosed with Circular No. 25/2021/TT-BTC ) are amended as follows:
- As for visas with no more than 90 days of validity: USD 50/visa.
(previously no more than 03 months of validity)
- As for visas with more than 90 days to 180 days of validity: USD 95/visa.
(previously more than 03 months to 06 months of validity)
- As for visas with more than 180 days to 01 year of validity: USD 135/visa.
(previously more than 06 months to 12 months of validity)
- As for visas with more than 01 year to 02 years of validity: USD 145/visa.
(previously more than 12 months to 02 years of validity)
In addition, the Ministry of Finance also amends regulations on management of fees and charges for fee collectors as follows:
In case fee collectors are Immigration Management Department; police authorities, border guards of provinces and central-affiliated cities; police authorities of districts, district-level towns, district-level cities, communes, wards and commune-level towns:
- Fee collectors may retain 25% of the total collected fee to cover expenses under Article 5 of Decree No. 120/2016/ND-CP .
In which, other expenses related to task performance, service provision and fee collection shall also include the following expenses:
+ Costs for travelling, providing accommodation, hiring translators, supervising detained foreigners, providing medical examination and treatment for sick foreigners; escorting foreigners who illegally reside in Vietnam or violate regulations and law to their home countries. Retained fees shall only be used for financing the tasks above when representative missions of countries where the violating individuals come from refuse to incur the costs or representative missions of countries where the violating individuals come from are not available in Vietnam.
In case competent regulatory authorities declare state of epidemic, fee collectors may decide on incurring the costs above and other costs directly serving epidemic management affairs when dealing with cases where foreigners violate regulations and law.
+ Costs for providing training to improve officials and soldiers working in immigration management affairs.
+ Costs for applying technological advances in immigration management affairs.
+ Costs for negotiating and cooperating with overseas parties in issuing visas and documents related to Vietnam immigration to foreigners.
+ Expenses for improving income and livelihood of officials and soldiers working in immigration management affairs as per the regulation of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense and the applicable law (if any).
- Fee collectors shall transfer 75% of collected fees to state budget according to applicable state budget laws.
