Covid-19 safety requirements for passengers on domestic flights

On March 24, 2022, the Ministry of Transport promulgated Decision No. 372/QD-BGTVT on interim Guidelines on organization of regular domestic flights guaranteeing safety and flexibility and effective control of COVID-19.

According to the Decision, flight crews (flight crews and attendants) and passengers on a domestic flight must satisfy the following conditions:

- Comply with the "5K Rules"; make health declaration as prescribed by the Ministry of Health;

- Strictly implement anti-covid measures according to guidelines of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health;

- Undergo tests and medical quarantine/isolation in accordance with the requirements and guidance of the Ministry of Health and local Health;

(Previously, negative test results for SARS-CoV-2 are required for passengers who reside or stay in epidemic level 4 areas or isolated areas (lockdown areas) before the flight)

Decision No. 372/QD-BGTVT comes into force from March 24, 2022 and replaces Decision No. 1840/QD-BGTVT dated October 20, 2021; Decision No. 2233/QD-BGTVT dated December 27, 2021; Official Dispatch No. 391/BGTVT-VT dated January 13, 2022; Official Dispatch No. 682/BGTVT-VT dated January 21, 2022.
