Guidance on organization of safe road transport amid Covid-19.

On March 22, 2022, the Ministry of Transport promulgated Decision No. 359/QĐ-BGTVT on interim guidelines for organization of safe transport in 3 sectors (road, inland waterways and maritime transport) ensuring safety, flexibility and effective control of Covid-19.

According to the Decision, road transport (including internal road transport), inland waterways and maritime transport in areas with epidemic level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4 are permitted but anti-covid measures of the Ministry of Health and local health authorities must be fully implemented.

Vehicle operators (driver, assistant, porters on the motor vehicle; helmsman, sailors, porters on the ship), passengers in 3 sectors (road, inland waterways and maritime transport) shall:

- Follow 5K Rules; make health declarations according to regulations of the Ministry of Health;

- Strictly implement anti-covid measures as instructed by National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health;

- Undergo tests and quarantine as requested and instructed by the Ministry of Health and local authorities.
