Covid-19 prevention requirements applied to train passengers

On March 24, 2022, the Ministry of Transport promulgated Decision No. 362/QĐ-BGTVT on interim guidelines for organization of safe rail transport amid Covid-19.

According to the Decision, in order to prevent infection and safely adapt to the epidemic, the passengers and operators (including the train driver and co-driver); train crew (including the conductor and other train crewmembers); station workers are only required to:

- Follow 5K Rules; make health declarations according to regulations of the Ministry of Health;

- Strictly implement anti-covid measures as instructed by National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health;

- Undergo tests and quarantine as requested and instructed by the Ministry of Health and local authorities.

Previously under Decision No. 1839/QĐ-BGTVT dated October 20, 2021, passengers from an area with epidemic level 4 or a locked down area have to be tested; etc.)

According to these instructions, rail transport enterprises also have to fully implement anti-covid measures and instructions of Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, the Ministry of Health and local health authorities.

Decision No. 362/QĐ-BGTVT comes into force from March 24, 2022
