According to these instructions, people that should be more cautious about taking COVID-19 vaccines must be carefully screened, and need to be vaccinated at hospitals or medical facilities with sufficient initial resuscitation capacity, including:
- People with history of allergic reactions to other allergens.
- Patients with pre-existing or chronic diseases that are treated stably.
- People with impaired consciousness or impaired functional capacity.
- People aged more than 65 years of age.
- People with history of thrombocytopenia and/or coagulopathy.
- People with chronic diseases that are found to have abnormal vital signs:
+ Pulse: < 60 times/minute or > 100 times/minute.
+ Diastolic blood pressure < 60 mmHg or > 90 mmHg and/or systolic blood pressure < 90 mmHg or > 140 mmHg.
+ Respiratory rate > 25 times/minute and/or SpO2 < 94% (if any)
Decision No. 2995/QD-BYT is entering into force as from June 18, 2021 and replacing the Decree No. 1624/QD-BYT dated March 18, 2021.
