The Decision elaborates on the Program's specific objectives:
- By 2025:
+ 100% of universities and research institutes will have access to training and awareness raising orientation and support regarding the protection of intellectual property rights over scientific research and innovation products;
+ At least 40% of products recognized as national products, key national products, key and particular products and services, of provinces and centrally-affiliated cities, etc. will be supported in the registration of protection, management and development of intellectual property, or origin and quality control after having their intellectual property protected.
- By 2030:
+ The number of applications for patents on inventions received from research institutes and higher education establishments is expected to rise by about 16 - 18%/year on average; the number of applications for patent protection for plant varieties is expected to rise by about 12 - 14% on average;
+ At least 60% of products recognized as national products, key national products, key and particular products and services, of provinces and centrally-affiliated cities, etc. will be supported in the registration of protection, management and development of intellectual property, or origin and quality control after having their intellectual property protected;
+ The number of applications for trademark protection received from Vietnamese enterprises is expected to rise by about 8 - 10%/year.
The Decision No. 2205/QĐ-TTg is entering into force as of the signature date.
