According to this document, the General Department of Customs requests Customs Departments of cities and provinces to command units under their direct or indirect control to perform several following tasks:
- When completing entry procedures for means of transport, carriers or shipping agents are requested to provide accurate information about imported goods in a timely manner before arrival.
As part of information requirements, information about bills of lading posted on the e-customs system must be consistent with information provided on bills of lading issued to customs declarants.
- Providing customs declarants to enter correct bill of lading numbers according to the instructions given at 1.26 - form No. 01 of Appendix I to the Circular No. 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018.
- Requesting customs officers to check provided information to ensure accuracy and consistency with information shown on bills of lading contained in sets of customs declaration documents, and requesting any additional declaration in case there is any discrepancy.
- If it is determined that customs declarants enter bill of lading numbers incorrectly, requesting Customs Sub-departments to inform Department-level risk management units of these incorrect numbers so that these units can take channeling measures for the purposes of physical inspection of cargoes.
