Face masks must be worn on public transport

Ministry of Transport issues the Official Dispatch No. 10612/BGTVT-CYT on stimulating and prompting passengers to wear face masks at airline hubs, road, water or rail passenger terminals or on board public means of transport for Covid-19 disease prevention and control purposes.

According to this document, in order to curb the risks of infection amongst passengers aboard public means of transport and reduce the threat to spread the disease into Vietnam, relevant authorities and entities are requested to perform the following tasks:

- Stimulating and reminding transportation companies, owners/operators of means of transport to inform and request:

All passengers, operators and assistants on board public means of transport to wear face masks properly at road, water and rail terminals and aboard all means of transport while travelling.

- Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam issues a written notice reminding all Vietnamese airlines and Airports Corporation of Vietnam of:

Continuing to request their passengers to wear face masks while on board the plane, checking in or out and waiting at the airport;

Compelling their passengers and persons seeing off passengers to wear face masks within the airport boundaries.
