Under this Code, from January 1, 2021 onwards, the mandatory retirement age of male and female workers or employees hired to work under ordinary working condition will be 60 years and 3 months, and 55 years and 4 months, respectively; every year following 2021, 3 months and 4 months will be added, respectively, to the retirement age of male and female workers and employees to reach their mandatory retirement age. Below is the detailed schedule for increase in retirement age.
- Retirement age of female workers and employees working under ordinary working condition:
+ Year 2021: 55 years and 4 months
+ Year 2022: 55 years and 8 months
+ Year 2023: 56 years
+ Year 2024: 56 years and 4 months
+ Year 2025: 56 years and 8 months
+ Year 2026: 57 years
+ Year 2027: 57 years and 4 months
+ Year 2028: 57 years and 8 months
+ Year 2029: 58 years
+ Year 2030: 58 years and 4 months
+ Year 2031: 58 years and 8 months
+ Year 2032: 59 years
+ Year 2033: 59 years and 4 months
+ Year 2034: 59 years and 8 months
+ From 2035 onwards: 60 years
- Retirement age of male workers and employees working under ordinary working condition:
+ Year 2021: 60 years and 3 months
+ Year 2022: 60 years and 6 months
+ Year 2023: 60 years and 9 months
+ Year 2024: 61 years
+ Year 2025: 61 years and 3 months
+ Year 2026: 61 years and 6 months
+ Year 2027: 61 years and 9 months
+ From 2028 onwards: 62 years.
Notes:
- If a worker or employee is occupationally incapacitated; works in extremely arduous and hazardous condition; or arduous and hazardous condition, his/her retirement age will be regulated as follows:
From 2021 onwards, his/her mandatory retirement age will adhere to the principle "His/her retirement age may be decreased by not more than 5 years compared to the retirement age of workers and employees working in ordinary condition".
- If he/she has high qualification or technical expertise, his/her mandatory retirement age will adhere to the principle that "He/she may retire at the older age which is not more than 5 years compared to the retirement age of workers and employees working in ordinary condition".
