This Circular lays down additional regulation on fire safety for buildings classified into the F1.2 group (e.g. hotels, dormitories,…), F4.3 group (e.g. facilities of regulatory authorities, offices,...) and mixed-use complex buildings that are from 50m to 150m in height, specifically including:
- Crowded rooms:
+ Crowded rooms with the fixed seat capacity of between 300 and 600 will not be built at the height of more than 15m;
+ Crowded rooms with the fixed seat capacity of between 150 and 300 will not be built at the height of more than 40m;
+ Crowded rooms with the fixed seat capacity of between 100 and 150 will not be built at the height of more than 50m;
+ If public rooms are built at the height of more than 50m, their fixed seat capacity will be restricted to 100.
- Each corridor must be separated by fire compartments using fore rate-1 resistance walls; automatically close fire resistant doors are mounted on fire resistance walls with all sealed door cracks (except door bottoms), etc.
Circular No. 01/2020/TT-BXD is entering into force on July 1, 2020, replacing the Circular No. 07/2010/TT-BXD dated July 28, 2010.
