According to the Decree, fines of up to 30 – 40 million dong for persons, and 60 – 80 million dong for entities, will be imposed for one of the following violations:
- Counterfeit and falsify land surveying and mapping data and products whilst implementing programs, projects, technical designs – cost estimates or surveying and mapping duties;
- Show inaccurate national border lines and territorial sovereignty on surveying and mapping data, information or products when carrying out programs, projects, technical designs – cost estimates or surveying and mapping duties;
- Fail to use basic surveying and mapping data, information and products whilst carrying out programs, projects, technical designs – cost estimates or specialized surveying and mapping duties;
- Fail to use national data on geographical spaces when performing duties specified in planning schemes, developing socio-economic development, national defence and security plans, programs or projects, and other activities, for state management purposes.
Decree No. 18/2020/ND-CP is entering into force on April 1, 2020.
