The Circular adds grounds for the temporary suspension of .vn domains as follows:
- Fail to identify the registrant due to impersonation;
- Provide incorrect registration information;
- Domain owners are entities closing their business or no longer existing.
Within the maximum period of 30 days after the Internet Center of Vietnam or the registrar requests adjustment in registration information, if a registrant fails to do so, the registered domain will be temporarily suspended from the National Domain Name Server.
In addition, this Circular gives supplements to regulations on revocation of the .vn domain, including:
- The domain name is in breach of naming rules or regulations on protection of domain names; or
- Within the maximum duration of 30 days after temporary suspension (cases mentioned above), the registrant fails to update and complete registration information.
Circular No. 06/2019/TT-BTTTT is set to commence on September 15, 2019.
