The Decree prescribes that any act of storage, trading and processing of ivory without legal documentation or in breach of application documentation must lead to the following fines:
- A fine ranging from 180,000,000 dong to 210,000,000 dong with respect to ivory weighing less than 0.3 kilogram;
- A fine ranging from 210,000,000 dong to 240,000,000 dong with respect to ivory weighing from 0.3 kilogram to less than 0.6 kilogram;
- A fine ranging from 240,000,000 dong to 270,000,000 dong with respect to ivory weighing from 0.6 kilogram to less than 0.9 kilogram;
- A fine ranging from 270,000,000 dong to 300,000,000 dong with respect to ivory weighing from 0.9 kilogram to less than 1.2 kilogram;
- A fine ranging from 300,000,000 dong to 330,000,000 dong with respect to ivory weighing from 1.2 kilogram to less than 1.5 kilogram;
- A fine ranging from 330,000,000 dong to 360,000,000 dong with respect to ivory weighing from 1.5 kilogram to less than 02 kilograms.
The Decree No. 35/2019/ND-CP will enter into force from June 10, 2019 and replace the Decree No. 157/2013/ND-CP dated November 11, 2013.
