Sanctions for violations arising from product and commodity quality inspection are now in effect

This is one of the contents in the Circular No. 26/2018/TT-BLDTBXH on the management of quality of potentially unsafe products and commodities under the regulatory authority of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

According to this Circular, upon discovering that manufacturing establishments fail to meet labeling requirements, applicable standards and technical regulations,… the following actions may be taken:

- Manufacturing establishments will not be allowed to bring their violating products into the market during the period of implementation of remedial actions upon the request of the group of inspection of product and commodity quality;

- Manufacturing establishments will be allowed to continue their free sale in the market after actions have been taken upon the request of the inspection group, and will be bound to report on these actions in writing to the inspection agency;

- Within duration of 07 working days of receipt of inspection conclusions regarding continued violations, manufacturing establishments will receive a notice of unconformable products made available via mass media and level of inconformity of these products.

The Circular No. 26/2018/TT-BLDTBXH will enter into force on February 20, 2019.
