The Circular prescribes that verification of speed test and measurement equipment must be carried out at 24-month intervals (compared to 12-month inspection intervals prescribed in current regulations).
Several intervals of verification for other test equipment are also subject to the following changes:
- Taximet: 18 months (compared to 12 months prescribed in the current regulation);
- Spring dial scales: 24 months (compared to 12 months prescribed in the current regulation);
- Railway tanks: 60 months (compared to 12 months prescribed in the current regulation).
Also, the Circular adds more measurement equipment to be verified at the following intervals:
- Vehicle weighing scales specially designed for weighing road vehicles: 24 months;
- Photoelectric distance meters: 12 months;
- Depth metering equipment: 12 months.
Circular No. 07/2019/TT-BKHCN is entering into force on January 1, 2020.
