According to this Circular, producers and importers of milk products are required to carry out procedures for registration of prices of milk products with regulatory authorities during the period in which the State implements price stabilization policies according to the following methods:
- Producers and importers of milk products shall carry out registration of recommended retail prices of milk products and notify the registered recommended retail prices to distributors of their milk products;
- Retail prices of milk products must be posted and not exceed the registered recommended retail prices;
- The registered recommended retail prices shall be used as the basis for state management of prices and announced to consumers.
- Producers and importers of milk products may carry out registration of different recommended retail prices which should be suitable for each geographical region.
Within 30 days as from the date of entry into force of the Circular No. 08/2017/TT-BCT (this Circular comes into force as from August 10, 2017), producers and importers of milk products are responsible for sending the list of recommended retail prices of their milk products which are being sold on the market to regulatory authorities.
